I'm not even kidding, you guys. This game is amazing. ggmoonycrisco put it best in her post--which was the first I ever noticed the game, but I'm still going to reemphasize that this game is WORTH ATTENTION.

The game is superbly written, a mystery story with endless bits of intrigue and thickening plot. Even with a couple accidental mild spoilers, I was still gawking at the screen at a few plot turns--and laughing ridiculous hard at others. The characters themselves are perfect, too, and it becomes clear through them that this really is from the creators of the Ace Attorney games. Even the most generic background characters have memorable lines and stories to them.

The puzzles themselves can be really challenging, and there were a few moments I wanted to stab my DS through the screen for having to start over yet again, but they weren't to the point where I ever actually decided to consult an FAQ (I have consulted walkthroughs at least once for all the AA games, except Investigations.). It'll challenge you, but without being a dick about it.

And my god, the sprite animation is perfect. It's gorgeous. Every single movement is smooth, natural, and eye-catching, at it really works to the advantage of bringing you into the world's atmosphere.

On top of everything, do you know what Capcom decided would be the most epic way to advertise for this game? Advertising in webcomics.

I'm spending today reading fanfics, apparently. It's actually turned out pretty hilarious.

...and then I fed some cats. It's a Persona 4 fic about how Souji writes to his girlfriend in the city... and is completely honest about everything that's been happening in Inaba. I love the interpretation of Souji in this, a complete airhead who truly means well. It's adorable and hilarious, and strangely fitting. (There's also a joke about language differences in the middle of an X-Files reference. I am a nerd for little details like that.)

I'm not sure exactly how I want to say what I want to say. I guess I'll start by describing what happened today. I'm not mad about it, or upset, but it is still on my mind and I feel like talking about it.

So yesterday I was going through some of my favorite videos of the One Piece Voice Actors being silly, and realized one of them took place at this year's Sakuracon. I decided to check the site for any interesting people I could find that would be at this year's con. Turns out, Mayumi Tanaka is going to hosting a TON of panels. /gleeeeee

Only two weeks out of Second City I already miss the sort of fun plots that would happen in jamjar games. I did enjoy my time over at 2C, but lost track of the plot fast and had trouble getting back in by the end. If I were to reapp, I don't know who I'd do it with. It's also slightly tempting to join another game, but it's so intimidating to not know where to look. Mrrrr.

- I've got three out of seven gift arts finished, and three partway done. Not counting the one I have to do for mom.
- I just realized I didn't buy presents for ANY OF MY IRL FRIENDS AAAAAAAAAA I AM A TERRIBLE PERSON
- Got the scarf from Kia! It is fabulous =DDD
- I am really glad to have taken the break with Hajime =D;; I think this may make things much better for him.
- Went to see Tron. Without spoiling anything, the graphics and music were great but the plot was pretty much nonsensical.
- Ant infestation in the kitchen. Awesome.

I wish I knew how to have confidence in my stuff. I keep worrying about what people will think, if it'll look dumb, if it's not good enough. Then I keep worrying that the teacher is especially looking at me and thinking how I'm not trying hard enough or doing it right because I'm not doing the same sort of thing as everyone else. I keep thinking I didn't do enough for this project, in spite of the fact that I'm sleep deprived as a result of working on this sucker. Sure, it's not all polished and gorgeous and it's only 11 seconds long, but it's still something, isn't it?

Ugh just two more days of this class and I'm done and I can relax. Two days. Rrgh.

Day 30: Digimon -Favorite Movie?

A few years ago I went and made the effort of actually finding the ones that were only released in Japan, and I gotta say, they were fun. Nice to know the Tamer crew got their guys back for sure, especially. In particular, though, one that I really liked was one different from all the others, done entirely in 3D and out of continuity with any of the seasons. It just focused around a war going on inside the Digital world, and this one Digimon's involvement in it.

My favorite part was that there was this badass Wizardmon as a main character and he DIDN'T DIE.

Oh man, oh man, You know what I would buy the shit out of? I would buy the shit out of this. I don't do modelmaking but look at this so awesome aaaa. If only it were possible to find awesome things like that outside of Japan...

Looking at IMDB, there are a lot of fun ones, but I limited myself to ones I could actuall yremember the context of and remember liking in the moment |D;; I feel bad because I know there are other ones I really liked, too, but ah well.
