unij: YOU BET KID (O Ya Dats Mine)

I don't get why so many freakin' games feel the need to put in vampires when it doesn't really fit in with the plot. I mean I haven't played most of them, so I don't know if they have it fit better in the universe, but it just doesn't seem to make sense based on what I know.

Metal Gear Solid: war games, lots of guns and sneaking around, shooting people, with clones and robots, advanced technology, bioengineered soldiers and... vampires. Where is the connection?

Fallout: Post-apocalyptic, grungy and based around nuclear activity. There are monsters, but the vampires are, as far as I can tell, random throw-ins of normal humans who drink blood and don't go into the sun because they are "creatures of the darkness." It would be one thing if they were just straight-up Refined Cannibals or whatever, but they gotta be vampires.

I bet there are others out there, too, but those are the ones that stand out as kinda random to me.

I honestly wouldn't know. I basically have no experience playing games outside of like... JRPGs, so. I mean, I've heard of Bioshock, which means it's gotten a lot of hype and is therefore probably good.

I have heard it's very difficult to be set back by death in that game. I guess you'll... like it? I don't know. I have no idea what it is like.
