ComicCon is getting readily closer, and its proximity is proportionate to both my excitement and my nerves. I decided to try and embroider the emblem on the armband for the costume, just for that extra something. It's far from professional-looking, but it's coming out well. I also wanted to do it for the larger one on the jacket, but quickly came to realize that there was no way I could get it done with the thicker fabric. Ah well!

Also, I did order a wig online, but of course it hasn't come yet. Things have kept me from checking out the local wigstores, such as lack of car access or bad timing with shifts... I feel like I should be more worried than I am about that, but I keep thinking it's nothing to worry about. I hope I'm right.

The main source of my nerves is the part where my friends and I still don't have a solid plan for what we're doing, as far as organizing what we need to get and bring, the best way to get around, or which things we want to go to. I wouldn't be so worried about the last bit, but I know that Bailey and Lauren are way more into DC comics and the like than I, and while I've survived just sorta smiling and nodding when they go on about it, I'm nervous it'll throw me off if it's all they're focusing on at the con. And I sure don't want to risk getting lost doing things on my own D=

Meantime, I'm trying to get my RP drive back. Spin's been completely dead since his breakdown, and more and more I'm getting frustrated with Tanaka's lack of CR. I keep asking if people want to thread with the cheerleader, but... nngh. Oddly enough, Madotsuki and Fawful are doing fine with their own things. I'm having a lot of fun with their stuff, but it's not the same as runnin' around being Elite or manly. At this point I'm just really hoping Kia and I can find a good place to settle down afterwards.

starherd who is amazing, and also gloves. Yeah that's right, all I need is my wig and we are ready for some osu action. I ordered a wig online yesterday, but I'm a bit antsy about if it'll get here in time. I plan on checking for wig stores in the area just in case.

You know what else came in the mail? Entertainment Weekly, which was full of tidbits about what's gonna be at Comic Con, including Iron Man 2.

My god you guys today is just like "SARAH COMIC CON IS COMING AREN'T YOU PUMPED"

So today I went with my nana to get some shoes, lo an' behold, three damn pairs, including the ones I needed for cosplay! Go me. Now I need the wig and the gloves... the wig shouldn't be a problem, so long as I actually go get it, but... where the hell do you buy white cloth gloves? I know they exist, I just have no idea where to look!

Anyway, because we cut it kinda close between shopping and the start of my shift, Nana dropped me off at work and I had to sit around without any of my timekilling methods. I was like "aaa need video games." But it was an okay shift aside from being boring. I got free chocolate yaaay, and someone asked me to cover another shift tomorrow. More money's good, but I'm spending it with Ckoworker. God she annoys me, she just complains nonstop and... I need to learn to tune her out, man. She's unbelievable.

I feel like I had more to say but no I guess not.

Hmm. I think I'm feeling less moody, now that Spin has gotten out that rant last night. He's still pissed off, but hey, I got out a damn fine rhyme. Yaaay.

So basically today was spent trying to find items for cosplay. Shoes or gloves. And also headphones just because the ones I have don't work in one ear anymore. However, after three hours walking around, I got nothing to show for it. I mean, I found some shoes that are basically what I need, but damn they're expensive. I think at this point my best bet is to call in on the birthday present my nana owes me. Yaaay doting grandparents.

By the end of the outing, I was feeling lousy, but you know what made it okay? I met a really friendly miniature shnauzer named Sergeant Pepper. Is that not a great name for a dog? I think it is. Also, Best Buy had a box set for Season 5 of Digimon. I mean, I didn't buy it, it was th terrible English version, but I've never seen Digimon DVDs anywhere! Just knowing they exist helped my mood.

SO DOGS AND DIGIMON HELP EVERYTHING.

Jeez, I keep thinking about the limited timeframe and reeeeeally hope my costume can get done in time. ComicCon is really looming...

And man. Oh man. One Piece. I finally got to episode 257, with the cutting through tidal waves and screaming and epic and whatever, but you know what made it? You know what really made that episode awesome?

Fucking Sogeking, man. FUCK YEAH.

Work was pretty amazing today. Amazing in the "My god how are people this stupid and obnoxious" kinda way. I got stories. Some of 'em may be the kind that I like to tell for a while. Yeah, today was real special. I'll put it like this: Hotdogs, wigs, 'freshness' and hobos. Especially hobos. Wharrrgh.

I need new headphones, mine are on their way out. I may take advantage to be a proper EBA geek. But I'm not paying for those expensive-ass (yet awesome) headphones I posted about earlier.

I wasn't planning on apping anyone in Daisychain's last round, but I started thinking too hard. I mean... no one's gonna app Morris. And I certainly didn't have plans for him anywhere else... and you're allowed to have two characters from each canon, right? He'd be fun, especially with the (unbelievably awesome) large cast we've got. And then we'd only be short Derek, Kahn and Foxx! It's almost like a full Agency! ...Someone talk me out of it please.

2. Dinner Bell - They Might Be Giants I dunno, it's just catchy. Something about it is just really well composed, the tune catches you and keeps you going through the whole thing, you don't even notice how short it is. Plus, once I realized it was a Pavlov's Dogs reference, I had a lot of fun in that section of Psychology class.

I think I got hit on in the park today by a guy who was kind of cute but I am deaf blind and dumb to these sorts of things so I can't be sure.

Also I shared a shift with Ckoworker (who is the most annoyingly depressing woman I have ever had to deal with for an extended period of time), which I always kinda dread, but I lucked out and she kept to herself. Qanager was around, he's by far the coolest of the four and a half managers, but apparently Nanager has misplaced like four goddamn keys to the office so Ganager was griping to Qanager and dragged down the mood. Ganager's a great guy, and adorable for all his cussing and grumbling and whatnot, but it would be great if he actually TOLD his employees when he was upset with them. That's how things get fixed, man.

Jumpin' Jack Flash came on the radio and I nearly cried from happy WHY DO I FREAK OUT WHEN COOL SONGS COME ON THE RADIO I DO NOT KNOW.

And Spin's being a woobie over in DC and I've been wanting to write this for a while, he needed to get some of that depression out so I could reduce some of this foul mood that's been leaking over. Why are the EBA getting all depressed goddamn crab bites ;-;

So today I went to take care of a couple extra job-type things to fill up time so my mom would get off my ass seriously woman

First was this caretaking thing for a three-year-old girl. It was only a ten-minute walk around the house, the dad filling me in. I'm scheduled to work with her tomorrow and Tuesday, but they made it pretty clear that they want me to do it various days throughout the summer. I'm starting to realize, though, that I'm starting to really get over working with kids. It's money though.

Then I went to the local animal shelter to get a lesson on how I can volunteer there. Omigaw. Dogs. Sad dogs and aaa. ;-; I don't know if I can balance it with both the theater and this caretaking thing, but man I would really like to be able to get time there. The animals! Look at them, how could you not want to try and make them more comfortable? Aaa.

So yeah that's my day

Plus my dad got a new mouse and keyboard and it is throwing me off like whoa

Various events and realizations:
~New York is awesome. I feel that a lot of big cities have a life of their own, and I like the feel of New York's, as crazy as it must be.
~It must be such hell learning to drive there. Seriously I would never do it.
~In The Heights is a great play, I actually kind of enjoyed it more than West Side Story, but it helps that ITH was new and WSS has been in my life for the last nineteen years.
~I did in fact buy a bat. I hoped to keep it hidden from sister and mother, but turned out the thing would only fit in my sister's suitcase... They reacted much the way I expected. And I didn't even get to bring it through Central Park with me! Tch.
~I like the rain but I do not want to walk through Central Park in it.
~My sister noted that one of the rocks on display in Belvedere Castle was mislabeled. My thought was, "HA! Those bastards aren't as smart as they think they are!" Take that, douchebags in gray.
~I got to see a guy propose in Grand Central Station. It was the most adorable thing EVER.
~

lovediamond is a super duper cool person and I wish we'd hung out more. The time spent was thoroughly enjoyed <3
~Rai Rai Ken is a great place to have your first real bowl of ramen. Mmmmm.
~Also I finished books 4, 5, and half of 6 for The Dresden Files. Harry's rapidly becoming more badass. Needs moar Marcone, imho.
~I have a buttload of tags to do.
~Ffff I got mentioned in the anon meme for being a cool guy. I feel all warm and fuzzy.

Gettin' ready for New York

Gonn' be awesome, I anticipate. Conversation with

yamikonumber7 made me realize that buying a steel bat while there would be the best souvenir ever, all things considered. Though I'm still not sure how I'm going to spend all my time; I'm awfully lazy, but I'm also awfully cheap, so getting around may prove mildly problematic.

Also GameTrailers had an ad for "EBA 2.0" and I flipped out but then it turned out to be some stupid website. But the comments were pretty much entirely composed of disappointed people who thought the same thing so maybe iNiS will take the hint?

And lastly I have Superb medals in all 50 levels of Rhythm Heaven, and 31 perfects. I feel like part rhythm god or something.

So after day an' a half hanging with

theguindo and

dontbepanic I am pleased but totally wiped out. We all had a great time even if we're all serious introverts and were running way low on energy at the end. Rumor has it they didn't COMPLETELY hate being around me so much, so the potential for it happening again is something I support.

Amongst the various awesome things we did, the first DVD of 10th Kingdom was watched, which I have long wanted to do. Though I was not expecting everyone's brain to "move at the speed of plot," as it was put so eloquently. And Wolf is freaking shady, man.

In other news, I have now completed 46 of 50 levels within Rhythm Heaven. I have gotten a Superb medal in all of them, and a Perfect for 22 of them. I am damn proud of myself, kthx.

Series of happy events today:

Watched Star Trek again. Still good.
It seems we may be getting a Starr at DC. Hell yes.

I'm still kind of in shock over this. I don't know what to say. I just... Ugh. People can be SO... I don't want to get into it. It's just so frustrating. I wish I could do something, but... that's how things go. I'm always here for you if you need me.
Feel like I wanna do a warm and fuzzy log to just get it out of my system, but, well, Daisychain isn't exactly in the spot for such things right now, is it?

..So I got to the Sequel Round for Rhythm Heaven. Catchy stuff, eh. Gotta love the Fan Club song, but Rhythm Rally 2 and Fillbots 2 are eating my head. I thought the first sessions were hard? Pah. I knew nothing. That DJ Yellow on Dear_Mun was pretty awesome, never thought Chorus Kid would get anyone to yap at.

I need to work on my English Essay
I need to study for my English Final (Note: These last three don't actually have me worried.)

Bad news: There are some epic complications with the class I want to get into at Evergreen regarding the application I sent in and if the instructors ever got it and my backups are all very different classes that I am not nearly as interested to get in to and i don't want to sign up for them if there's still a chance we can make my first choice work because that's really the one I want AAAAAAAAAUGH
