Jan. 18th, 2010 12:19 pmAuuuuuugh guys, I should be doing my work but instead I keep thinking about all the stuff I wanna RP and if I should send in another app or maybe look at another game and it is not a good idea but auuugh

Where and when did you start rping?
I guess you could say I did a little on Neopets, but I didn't think of it consciously as RPing. The first conscious stuff I remember was when I was 14, on GaiaOnline.
Do you rp anywhere other than lj?
No sir.
Do you play in any public games?
Right now, just XI, and auuuugh I should not be wanting other places
Do you prefer first-person comment spam or prose logging?
I've been RP-raised on prose so that's what I'm used to, XI is giving me my first real dose of first person comment spam. I'm still getting the hang of it, but it has its uses.
What was the first character you ever played?
First all around? Some terrible self-insert hyper demonic girl. First fandom? Fawful, though it only lasted like half a week before the game died =<
Who's your favorite character to play now and why?
Umm idk, probs Adult Spin. I miss him.
What's the longest you've ever consistently played one character?
I'm still not sure what this question means by 'consistently' but Daisychain is the longest time I've been in a game before it finished/died, so that'd be Spin, for a bit over a year.
What's your biggest rp pet peeve?
Umm jeez i dunno
probably making everything about relationships sex makeouts omg they're so hot together they're perfect for each other look at our couple they are so sweet but conflicted and tortured and there's no actual chemistry or realism but they are so hottttttttt
Do you read rp secrets and the rp anon meme?
Yeah, but I basically just glance through to see if there's anything from the game I'm in and read all that relevant material.
If you've played in public before, do you prefer community based or journal based games?
I liked the journal-based system at DC a lot, but I can definitely see why community is preferred. It really is a lot easier, and makes finding older posts much less trying. But I gotta say, having a character with a bunch of friends just feels more... personal? idk.
Would you rather play with someone who's very very ic but a mediocre writer or someone who isn't always ic (but not terrible) and a great writer?
Mmmm, it depends on what sort of OOC they are. I mean, if a mediocre writer doesn't give you good things to tag off of or fails to keep your interest, then it's hard to play with them. So long as a person is playing a character that's relatively IC and still fun to interact with it would probably be fine
Also I probs don't know enough canons to really be aware if characters are being ic or not
Do you have a "rp partner"?
Not really. I'm still not entirely sure what is defined as a "partner" but. I guess Kia might qualify? Because we are derps for one another.
Do you ever stalk any casts, games, or players? who?
Nnnno not really =< I've always been kind of lazy about looking at the logs of people that aren't directly related to my own.
In your opinion, which part of an app is the most difficult/annoying?
Considering the types of characters I play, History can get kind of embarrassing, though I thought it was a lot of fun when I did it for Franky who actually has a real background. Though Franky's app was fun in general. Overall, I'd probably say samples, because it's weird to just have a snippet of prose with no one to interact with.
Are you one of those people who has to customize their character's journal layout and userinfo?
Just picking one of the provided layouts that LJ gives. I would like to have more personal stuff, but I have no idea how coding and all that works. I'm still really happy with the Fawful layout that
nalina made, though.
What was your first game?
Not counting all those cheap little Gaia ones? DaisyChain. First and best.
Are there any canons you avoid tagging characters from?
Nah. Not consciously, at least.
Most memorable scene in any thread?
I still am so damn proud of Spin quoting every EBA song when he was saying goodbye to Tara. I felt so cool =p
XI-wise, um idk, Spin trying to teach Dug to dance was pretty freaking adorable
Do you rp sex?
no =< it creeps me out IRL and it creeps me out in game.
Do you play more males or females?
so many more dudes. idk why it works that way I GUESS I'M A MISOGYNIST.
What won't you rp?
Smut. I have no interest and see no appeal.
Dressing rooms: yes or no?
Nnngh they're great for who they work for and I can see them being very fun but I don't like to work with a place where a character doesn't have solid ground to work on, with like the ability to take past experiences and grow from them and so forth. A lot of DRs don't really work for such a desire.
Ever rped a pairing?
Not
really
It's not that I don't want to but I'm very very awkward about asking people to do one because I don't really know for sure how relationships work and I don't play the sorts of characters that would just jump in, they'd probably try to take it slow.
So I'd like to have a good pairing experience and I think it could be a lot of fun, but it's not my motivating factor for RPs and yeah ._.
Favorite place to play: musebox, open posts, public games, private games?
I haven't played in a private game since the Gaia days, and I'm still not sure how a musebox works. Open posts can be a lot of fun, but my biggest experience for the last year+ has been public.
Talking rp with someone else who plays your character: fun or awkward?
Oh man, considering the characters I play, and how much is open to interpretation? It can be a lot of fun, to see where things overlap and what the reasoning behind things are. But I can get really paranoid that they think I've done something weird or dumb with the character that they think is WRONG WRONG WRONG. Esp. for Madotsuki. Luckily a lot of the characters I play are obscure and not many people play them so I don't have to worry about it too much. Anyway it's really a bit of each.
