unijSo my roommate made me watch "Tremors" today. Kevin Bacon playing a cowboy is always fun. What a dumb movie =D
Since there is apparently someone interested, here's the thing I wrote reflecting on Daisychain, the year it contained and how it ran parallel to my own journey through gettin' to a decent college. Our teachers wanted us to not give any comments or context and just let people observe and so my group was like "what."
The end of an era, the start of a new. thrust out of my lair and begin my debut, with the chance to err and to start a fresh view.
Has it been one year, or five, or maybe nineteen? Shifting gears in my life and think of what I've seen; all the tears and the jives, all the writing of scenes. This build up to the fresh start, the road along the way, overlapping in parts: by design, or display? Through a ruined city, despair and unknown, it's his nerves and his fear of going through that zone, while I realize my new place leaves nothing but to groan.
While the buildings've crumbled, we've taken falls and tumbles, looking for our way out and failing with grumbles. Lost friends and lost faiths, lost rhythm and beat, foul trends and foul wraiths and tripping on our feet. But his music regained, my tune finally found, a comfort in new friends on unfamiliar ground. It took some efforts, and a few trips around, but I was guided through it just list'nin' to the sound.
And now the city's in the past, and its ruins no more, the challenge surpassed and new worlds to explore. Goodbyes stinging hard though few are really gone, but it's what's uncertain again that brings nerves to the song. Branch out of that box, find what new things can spawn: this dim light's not the evening, but another dawn.
It's a mess, it's a start, a crossfire hurricane. I may not top the charts, but that leaves more to gain.
IN OTHER NEWS: Two of my clubs overlap D= ah well. I wasn't all that interested in the circus one anyway.
