In Disney, Mickey has Minnie, Donald has Daisy, but as far as I know, Goofy didn't ever really have much in the way of a love interest. And yet, of the three, Goofy is the only one in any continuity to have a child--they specifically made a point with Donald to have him only take care of his nephews.
So, basically, Disney made a point, with their three most iconic characters, to make the only one with a child be a single parent.
Just thought that was interesting.
