From Sniper Island!

So I've been kind of thinking about apping Usopp somewhere... squarewarts  comes to mind. On top of being a hilariously great character, he has a lot of depth to him. I think I get him better than Chopper, who I was nursing a tiny muse for before.

What keeps me from doing is the part where I'd be constantly second-guessing myself. Am I being too goofy? Not goofy enough? The right sort of goofy? I mean, people paying attention may note that my forte is characters with absolutely no development in-canon, and the fewer lines the better. Usopp doesn't quite fit the bill there, you see. Ten years. Ten years of development. So I'm all antsy that I've been doing it wrong. (My fabulous OP fandom buddy, who I would have relied upon to make sure I didn't mess up, seems to have vanished off the face of the internet.)

My god fifteen is not enough for the epic dramatic faces of Usopp.

Not that I think I can actually play him, but filling up the spaces is fun.
