Popular Music and Literature in the 1960s
The history of the United States during the decade of the 1960s encompasses a complex mix of social movements including the anti-war movement, the civil rights movement, youth rebellion and youth culture, queer rights and the women's movement. During that era musicians such as Jimi Hendrix, John Coltrane, the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez and Janis Joplin, to name but a few, pursued similarly varied aesthetic experiments and social concerns, creating a great artistic legacy.

I have no idea if I would be this interested in this class if it weren't for Spin, but good lord this thing sounds cool, and it's a Spring Quarter class which is what I need, and... God, why is it only for Juniors and Seniors? I mean really it just... seriously, it sounds really interesting.

Maybe I should try e-mailing the professors? I mean technically I'm a sophomore+, I think, so by the time I'm done with Winter Quarter I'll probably have enough credits to count as a Junior anyway.

Plus none of the other programs available in Spring sound nearly as cool.
