Why is it

The one day I spend the whole goddamn day traveling

is the day there's apparently everyone talking about a Cloverfield monster showing up in XI but the log is so busy that I'm too confused to know where it is or how to jump in on it

God damn it I am so bad about jumping into open logs already

IM someone and ask to join?

Don't know who I'd want to IM about it. I haven't been in chat for a while, it's faster than DC's, I always feel lost and overlooked in there and don't know most of the people well enough to IM them personally. I do realize that these have the simple solutions of getting over myself and trying. I'm just kind of bad at asking for help, I guess.

That makes two of us on asking for help.

It kinda looks like people are just jumping in like they were always on the field trip and are now dealing with the crabs. Everything after this comment looks to be after the monster shows. Before that is the regular field trip. And it looks like both J and Starr are in the fray, so worse comes to worse, ask them?

BASICALLY ANYWHERE IN HERE. it's supposed to be civics and international relations and.. engineering i think? but a fuckton of people just sort of handwaved their characters in even if they are not in those classes XD

You're def not alone in trying to get into threads. i have two characters already there (before the monster attacked) and because i went to bed last night since I have work in the morning, I've completely lost track of what's going on and where I can actually squeeze in. I'm probably... just not going to bother and i'm a mod who helped plan this event.

You know Pura if you have Tommy in there we should absolutely thread him and Namine.

Tommy doesn't take any of the classes they're for, or have any interest in the avengers mansion unless billy dragged him along. 8( but him saving nammers would be adorable. Axel is there though! He could save her too.

I know Leon has her now, but it'd be a small thing for him to hand her off to Tommy and be all "Look after her :|"

I have some sort of awkward brainblock that makes me nervous about getting into open threads in general. XI is a game that moves really fast, with a lot of characters I know nothing about, so I guess I just get paranoid that everyone else will have connections with other characters they'd rather be keeping up. It has made things slightly upsetting for myself.

Well, that's entirely understandable. I only really have CR with characters I know or players I know so I know where you are coming from. I'm always around if you want someone to talk to about this and I'll offer up my characters for CR if you want them!

I'll thread with you there if you want! ♥ I've got Billy in a couple of different threads already, I don't mind jumping around.

ETA: I'll just be a little slow cause of work, only able to tag in the evenings.

It's really easy! ♥ Just post your character to the monster thread and you'll pick up some other students in no time at all. It's what I did with Orihime.

Yeah, I threw Spin in and his Elite Beat Buddies have already jumped in to escort the spaz from the area. All it took was for me to stop being a whiner.
