It's that time of year again...

To my friends and buddies! I love you guys, and I want to draw things for you in celebration of how great you all are.

Here is how this works: pick one or two characters from whatever fandom I am reasonably familiar with, and maybe something for them to do, or whatever! It does not need to have anything to do with holidays. And then, I will draw the requested thingy for you. (Please don't say "anything works," I will have no idea what to do 8D;;)

All things will be inked and color will be involved if I feel inspired.

I figure it will be easier to email these to people, so comments are unscreened. But I would be happy to send the art itself to you, if you would like to PM me your address! It is up to youuuu.

Safely returned to school, and a pretty good first day if I do say so myself. Contacted a friend off the bat and found out he was heading to a meeting for the Gaming Guild, and joined him for a very fun game of Settlers of Catan. I should definitely try to visit that club more, board games are a great chill way to make buddies. There was also Grocery Bingo where my friend won and I didn't =B Then I got to know one of my roommates really well, the rest have been off doing... things? Anyway, the one I chilled with seems like a really friendly person, so yaaay there.

The bad side to all this is the fact that very little of the actual things I own will be actually available to me for the next three days. I have the necessities; clothes, toiletries, a towel. But my sheets, blankets, trash can, scissors--all those little things that are not necessary but still really useful to have around (and also make my room not look like a blank white nothing) will not be returned to me from storage until Monday. Thankfully roommate lent me a pillow, but it's pretty painfully bare. I will power through ( ._.)9

I'm tired maybe I should sleep.

WELL OKAY now that LJ is working again

This has been a relatively good week! It felt like I did things. Enough to call for a list!

-It took me 8 days to finish A Dance With Dragons, and though I was underwhelmed in comparison to the huge wait, in the end I was pretty happy with it.
-I managed to finish that huge beast right before heading off to Disneyland with [livejournal.com profile] lynxgriffin, [livejournal.com profile] yamikonumber7, and meeting [livejournal.com profile] bouncy_erbear for the first time! Those ladies are absolutely fabulous to hang out with, and D-land is fun as ever. Hopefully, next time I won't have to wait as long to go.
-Got a lot of brainstorming in with Lynx and the others about ideas for MSTgame, which really kinda got me looking forward to it. We're gonna have so much fun with this thing, I think.
-Absolutely exhausted after several days without sleep, I returned home... only for my dad to hand me Ghost Story as soon as he picked me up at the airport. WHELP.
-Though, Ghost Story only took me a day. It's practically a pamphlet in comparison to aforementioned dancing with dragons, but I think of just as much substance in half the pages.
-OLD SPICE vs. FABIO. More manliness than can be really handled.
-My manager has invited me to a tabletop game of Mouseguard, and lent me the comic it was based on. It looks like it'll be an interesting time.
-I found out there's going to be a Rifftrax Live broadcasting on the 17th! I have to get in on that.
-Have you heard me talk about Improv Everywhere? And how much I love them and would love to be part of their stuff? They've got something going down in San Fran on the 16th. I wouldn't miss it for the world 8DDDD

And that has been my last approximate week or so! I think it all adds up to a pretty positive experience. Also, I'll be catching Cowboys & Aliens Sunday, I'm guessing that'll add to the good time. Yaaaay!
unij: YOU BET KID (Digimon are so squishy)
To the fairest GG in the land: congrats on reaching 24! Not too often you hit a number that can be divided by 2,3,4,6, AND 8! Enjoy it to the fullest =D
unij: YOU BET KID (And now you know)
8O We actually read a book for class this week that I found genuinely interesting! After Dark by Haruki Murakami. Like, with past books, I could be like "yeah I guess I am slightly interested in the ideas in here or whatever," but I would always check to see how many pages until the next chapter and the like. With this one, I opened it up last night because I figured I should get a little reading done so it wasn't all last minute, then suddenly whoa hey I'm on page 142 when the heck did that happen.

Also yesterday my friend invited me to go forest exploring, there's a pretty great chunk of forest around the school, and a path that you can follow to the beach a bit off, but more fun is exploring the less well-traveled areas and feeling like you're in some post-apocolyptic fantasy world where nature took over. Also I almost sank into a bog at one point which made me really glad I had decided to wear boots. There were a few moments that showed off my friend is much more coordinated than I but the pain my muscles now feel will make me mightier ( ._.)9
unij: YOU BET KID (Hold on let me explain)

I'm not sure exactly how I want to say what I want to say. I guess I'll start by describing what happened today. I'm not mad about it, or upset, but it is still on my mind and I feel like talking about it.

Cut for Introspective Nerdery and also mild gore? )
unij: YOU BET KID (Guh-loooooom)
- I've got three out of seven gift arts finished, and three partway done. Not counting the one I have to do for mom.
- I just realized I didn't buy presents for ANY OF MY IRL FRIENDS AAAAAAAAAA I AM A TERRIBLE PERSON
- Got the scarf from Kia! It is fabulous =DDD
- I am really glad to have taken the break with Hajime =D;; I think this may make things much better for him.
- Went to see Tron. Without spoiling anything, the graphics and music were great but the plot was pretty much nonsensical.
- Ant infestation in the kitchen. Awesome.
unij: YOU BET KID (Guh-loooooom)
Hahaha, I was actually social today, what's up with that. Some friends and I took a long drive to see another friend, it was a lot of fun though now I am real life'd out. Worth it!

Also getting Hajime in a fight with the goddamn Jabberwock has possibly been the most epic thing I've done in RP for quite a while. Hell yeah.

Day 05: Pokemon -Favorite video-game?
Silver. I can't really be sure right now if Soul Silver outranks it, because they really did a great job with the remake, but I just remember loving Silver with such a passion when it came out, and ever since. I can still pick it up to play today and love the heck out of it. Soul Silver really does a great job of keeping things from the original version while bringing in new and exciting things; Leaf Green was nice for having updated graphics, I guess, but I actually have less fun playing that than my original Blue cartridge.

Day 17: A song that you hear often on the radio

I don't listen much to the stations that play stuff like Taylor Swift or Lady Gaga, because KFOG is cool.

bluh bluh huge list )
unij: YOU BET KID (Chopper my head is not grass)
You know, it's a good thing I got bad news during work today, where being cheery is part of the job. Makes it easier to get over being pissed off at my friend for ditching us again... at least for while I'm focusing on the customers. We've been waiting for weeks to see Inception together as a group, and it's always been her who can't make it for one reason or another. Family on vacation? Sure. Working at her job? Fine. But drawing a comic is not a valid excuse right now. Otherwise, it's just more time to think about how pissed off I am. It's a really miserable feeling, to realize that your friend won't even make the time to see you. I don't have a lot of friends in the first place, and when the ones I do have don't seem to ever want to hang out, that's a real blow to my mood.

Day 08: A song that you know all the words to

Every song I have....? Seriously, I memorize songs reeeeally easy. I think I memorized this one entirely by watching Don't Eat The Mushroom over and over.

Day 09: A song that you can dance to

...and all the other ones, too... bluh. But man I can groove out to this song nonstop. It's just so. Happy. It's impossible not to groove to, if you ask me.4

Day 10: A song that makes you fall asleep

...Does this mean boring songs? Or relaxing songs? Either way, I can't fall asleep to music. Music activates my brain, I have no choice but to focus in on it. If there's music on, I can't focus on reading or writing, let alone sleeping. It's easier if it's BGM or wordless music, though.

Back from Disneyland with [livejournal.com profile] yamikonumber7. Had a great time. Am now not very coherent.

I have a bunch of things to catch up on. Old tags that need to be tagged back. Huge MSPA updates bluh bluh. New events at XI, including dance stuff that I'm not sure I care about but should look into anyway. Introing Franky at Second City. Finding out if I'm working tomorrow. Sleeping.

That last one seems the most important right now.

The whole journey was awesome, and I soooooo wish I could have hung out with Kia longer, but a comfortable homebed is important right now. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.
unij: YOU BET KID (some times postal workers DOES CAUSE vio)
Sorry guys, I still don't like Vriska.

In other news, I am actually leaving the house for once--for more than a few hours, holy crap! I'm off tomorrow to hang out with [livejournal.com profile] yamikonumber7  and other similarly cool people in Disneyland. It will be super awesome, so I will catch you suckers on the flip side.
unij: YOU BET KID (Default)
...well this is annoying.

I finally decided to buy back my iconspace, but lo and behold... all the keywords and credits were mysteriously erased once I got 'em back.

I sure as hell can't remember what all of the keywords are, which is just personally annoying because I like being able to look back on old comments and having the proper icon present. But much more irritating is going to be trying to figure out where the hell I got all these things from; I like having proper credit for the icons I use, both to give respect to the maker and so I can know who I want to revisit later on.

mumble grumble.

In better news, you know what things are awesome? 1) Realizing how much you love an OTP and finding tons of art for it. 2) Finding out an online friend in another country is actually going to move within a few hours' drive next year. 3) Maybe finding another good lookin' game to play at! Whoop.
unij: YOU BET KID (Pestertrolling)
Man all last week I didn't have any inspiration for drawing stuff and then a bunch of memes happened in XI and I'm like "MAN NOW I HAVE DRAWING INSPIRATION" and then my class is like "PS DRAW SOME STUFF FOR YOUR ESSAY ON TOP OF ALL THIS OTHER WORK" and I'm like "CRUD SUDDENLY I HAVE LESS TIME TO DO THINGS I WANT"

Comment and I will tell you:

1. Something random about you.
2. Which color you remind me of.
3. My first memory of you.
4. What animal you remind me of.
5. Ask you something I've always wondered about you.
6. My favorite thing about you.
7. My least favorite thing about you.
8. Challenge you to post this on your journal.
unij: YOU BET KID (Bink's Sake)

It's not enough for me to be missing DC so badly for months, to be getting extra wistful over the reunion thread. Having the OOC chat's return was what really hammered it in. I haven't had that feeling that DC chat gave for a long time; feeling like being part of a chat where you're all friends who know each other, can have conversations together about the game without even being involved in plots directly with one another. It amplifies how much fun you have with the game itself by a ton. XI chat feels so disconnected for me, in comparison. We need to do this sort of thing more often.

Aaaaaugh I miss you guys.
unij: YOU BET KID (Bink's Sake)
I've never seen a new year as all that big a deal. I stay up to midnight anyway, but 2010 seems like a nice enough thing to acknowledge. Especially since, looking back, I'm pretty happy with this year.

I made friends, online and in reality. I tried new things, perhaps not as many as some would recommend, but enough for me to feel proud enough. For a year that started off academically lousy, it's resolved into a place where I'm looking forward to more, hoping for the best. Heck, I'm feeling pretty pleased with things as a whole right now, even if not everything is exactly as needed and maybe I should be a little more prepared. But I've always been the sort to let things come as they are.

I want to repeat Erica's sentiment: So much of the support and happiness this year came from my experiences at [livejournal.com profile] daisychainrpg . I made great friends, did some great writing, had some powerful emotional experiences, found some fabulous new series to delve into. Not everything was perfect, but I couldn't have wished for a more supportive, welcoming, exciting game to have seen me through the majority of this year.
unij: YOU BET KID (turtledance)
People who are interested in either my NaNo story OR Daisychain, this may interest you, or maybe not just puttin' it out there.

Also, I'm starting to work on my friend cards/muse cards, and will send them out sometime next week, so if you haven't remember to give me your address!

That being said oh my god guys it snowed it was amazing 8D
unij: YOU BET KID (Free Whale Rides)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] bouncy_erbear !

Also, a reminder for folks to sign up for my holiday cards, because I want to send you guys stuff. Also muse cards are available if ya want.
unij: YOU BET KID (Kyuu-bone)
Seeing as I gave myself a week to do them last year, it's a good idea to get on it now, huh.

Holiday Cards~!

Leave a comment with your name and mailing address, I'll whip something up to send you! I'll be drawing stuff up, too, so if you want to give me an idea of what you'd like, include it!

Comments are screened (I figured out how to do it this year =D;;)
